ALCATech
presented at the Prolight+Sound 2002 its professional MP3 DJ system "BPM
Studio" and the newly developed "DigiScratch"
system. The market leader in the area of MP3 DJing expected its visitors
with 6 team members, four terminals for testing the "BPM studio"
MP3 DJ System and a DJ desk with two Technics MK2 and a Pioneer DJM600
mixer for testing and demonstrating the DigiScratch System.DigiScratch
is the bridge between vinyl and digital audio: No carrying of heavy record
suit-cases anymore, no wearing out or breaking the records out! With DigiScratch
the DJ has all creative possibilities as seeking, pitching, cueing, spinning
and scratching with the turntables. But the records remain at home now.
The DigiScratch system consists
of two vinyl records and an INTERFACE. The PC does not need to be operated
during mixing. Only for the selection of the titles which one wants to
play the PC is needed. But DigiScratch offers far more! In co-operation
with the professional functions of the BPM Studio software the DJ can
unfold all its creative potential. Also connecting the system to a ALCATech
remote control is possible. In the near future even more digitized titles
will be available by download over the Internet and from record companies.
For this reason DigiScratch of ALCATech is an investment into the future
of digital DJing.
