ALCATech GmbH defines a new standard in the music and entertainment branch with its BPM Products. Based on the MP3 format of the Fraunhofer IIS BPM Studio were able to emancipate from common music media in playing back and editing music.

In seconds a new song can be launched or the program can be changed completely with all functions a professional DJ requires for live mixing. The systems come, besides others, with loop functions, cue functions, pitching and master tempo.

The professional version's 19" control unit lets you work with the same "look and feel" as with common double CD player. The unique screen design and the program surface BPM Studio seamlessly fits into any existing audio system. No special computer skills are required.

BPM Studio software can be used for many purposes. Originally invented as a MP3 double player for discotheques the different versions of BPM Studio can be used in many areas where the convenient playback and editing of music or speech is required. No matter if with mobile broadcasting teams, mobile DJ's dance schools, fitness centers or as a convenient jukebox system there infinite ways to use BPM Studio. For the home user and appropriate version is available, too.

BPM Studio is marketed in three different ways.To satisfy the need of the user of commercial systems it is necessary to place competent contact persons in his area. For this reason ALCATech is expanding his global network of authorized dealers constantly.

The target group of the home users is being served by selected mail-order companies and stores such as "conrad electronic" or "KOCH Media AG". Some years ago Fraunhofer IIS developed a process of compressing audio data (music, speech) with a very high factor. This opened a new dimension and new possibilities of using computers in the music and entertainment branch.

Until this time a piece of music of 3,5 min length required between 30 and 40 MB hard disk space. At the same time the capacity of the storage media and the performance of the computer systems grew rapidly. Based on these developments it is now possible to offer easier and better ways to handle audio data. Where it was only possible to use the PC for managing song titles by pointing on an external music medium (MC,CD,LP) it is now possible to store the song on the PC too and the original medium is no longer reqired for playback (mixing, playlists).
