Problem: BPM Studio doesn't start or the error message "unable
to open audio device" occurs Solution: Open the properties for multimedia in the windows system controls. Choose register tab Audio:
At "preferred
device" has to be selected the first available channel
from your soundcard. |

For the use of the DirectSound drivers the check box "Disable DS" must be unchecked. The output format should be adjusted to " Force Adat ".  |
| Why isn't it possible to activate the monitor function in the SB live? |
Activating of the monitor function on one of the two channels of the SB live is not possible, since the internal number of buffers of the card is not sufficient. This can't be changed by programming. Even in later BPM Studio versions this will not be possible. |
| Why does my SB live not function with seperate front/rear ? |
The separate output over front/rear is availabale in the BPM Studio versions Light, Home and Professional. BPM Studio 3.0 cannot address the two outputs of the SB live separately, although in the audio characteristics the channels are available for selection? Please examine the following as problem solution:

Which sound cards do you recommend for the use with BPM Studio? Generally we recommend Audiotrak, M-Audio and RME Soundcards. In principle all DirectX or ASIO supported sound cards can be used. However, there might be problems with the use of 2 sound cards of same type with the DirectX driver. Further recommendations and tests can be found in the sound card special .  |
